Shiny Textures!

Journal Entry: Tue Mar 13, 2012, 4:00 PM
I've finally forced gently convinced myself to make the alternate textures for the chibi eons. The Skimin ones still need my attention though... One step closer to the publishing stage, anyways! Problem is: I hate making the download packs. So lazy~h!

I was browsing your website www.pokemonpapercraft.net for a good 2 non-stop hours, marveling at the sheer beauty of everything posted there! You guys are simply awesome! I must say, you have inspired me to try my hands at papercraft as well and what better a way than to make Pokemon! xD
Anyway, since I am a total novice at this thing, I will most certainly have quite a bit of queries that I hope you people can help me out with, to which I would be VERY thankful.

Soooo, just one question, at the moment, at the top of my head: I was wondering that after a certain model is complete, is there any procedure to stiffen it up or is the paper strong enough to maintain the proper shape of the model over a period of time?

Again, I would be VERY thankful for any help/advice I can get from you people. REALLY excited to get started on this! Best wishes for you future work, stay awesome! (Y)

Hi there! I'm glad you've decided to try papercraft by browsing our website!!!
Be sure to start with a simple model: back then I tried with a difficult one and got really frustrated...
Anyway, I've never tried any product to stiffen or coat my models, simply because I was afraid to ruin them after putting so many hours into building them! But I must tell you: if you use 120gsm paper, the models can withstand time. Some of mine are 6years old, and still standing! A bit dusty, but great nonetheless! :D
If you have any doubt, check our FAQs section on our website: we've covered all the frequent questions a novice could have. And we also have a Facebook page, where you can talk to us and all the other papercrafters!
Good luck with this awesome hobby!!!

Ahan ahan! *takes down notes* =P

Lol! Believe it or not, at the moment I am having trouble finding the right kind of paper over here ... Surprisingly, most of the shops only keep the 80gsm paper, but I guess I will figure something out! Where there is a will, there is a way, no!? =P
Again, thank you so much for the awesomeness and the guidelines! I will make sure to follow them and do justice to this beautiful art! Cheers! :D

PaperPokes site hasn't updated for a while now. I left a message and an email but nobody responded yet. Is there a way to acquire the passwords for the pdo files? I really want to make life size version of the models they make. Models such as Charmander and Squirtle are small and I'm hoping to make a bigger version of them. Thanks.
