Bulbasaur papercraft by Lyrin-83 Bulbasaur papercraft by Lyrin-83
Bulbasaur's so happy it's springtime!!! So he decided to take a stroll in my garden. Fair enough! :D
This is Bulbasaur papercraft V2, a new version of one of our oldest models! Now, if only we could have a remastered squirtle... (hint hint! Bran, please? :D)

As usual, you'll find Bulvasaur V2 on our PaperpokÚs website [link] as soon as it gets a free spot! :D

When you make models out of the lineless pattern, how do you know where to fold?
Obviously, you'd do most of it smooth (and it's so cute on Bulbsaur ^^) but what about when you have to fold?

I use the pdo as reference. I keep the file opened onscreen and I look at it if I'm in doubt. But as you correctly pointed out, I seldom fold anything. I noticed that you only need to fold the valley folds, and the spikes, teeth, etc (parts with sharp angles, to put it simple). For the rest, you can pretty much avoid folding anything! You'll understand better what to fold and what not as you get experienced with papercrafting! :D

I never attempted the old one because your deviation description scared me! Remember? You said it was REALLY difficult!

Well, it was one of my first models, and back then, it probably was really hard ... if I recall properly, it's just a royal pain in the bottom because it's full of red-lines and really thin sections that should have been edited out, but weren't because it was one of PMF's first models too, lol!

OMG SO PERFECT :D I love this one :D Don't seem to hard, is it? Btw, the bulb is apart of the body? The pose is to match Charmander? I don't know why I like this pokemon since it reminds me of frogs (that btw I am afraid of XD). The cutest :D

Not that hard, but there are a couple of tricky spots if you build the model without folding it! The bulb isn't apart: the connection's really simple to make, so there was no need to do so. And yeah, I tried to scale it with char, but the official measures are quite strange... According to bulbapedia, bulbasaur should be taller than char. I still made it 1cm smaller, but it seems too bigger compared to it. Who knows! :D
Yeah, I love bulba a lot as well, even if I'm not that fond of grass types! :D

You're welcome :D I almost built the other bulbasaur some weeks ago, but somethig told me that there would be a v2 or somethig like that, the same happened with Pikachu. Now I'm waiting for this one and of course for Charmander (any idea of the release date?) I have kind of a idiot question, but I have to ask, or I'll dye XD Charmander will be released only in normal size? I'd love a double sized one XD I like it too, but I love water types, talking about them, Squirtle will be remade too?
