To prevent the white from the paper to show you should try what we papercraft freaks call "edge colouring", that is, we basically colour the edges of the paper pieces before actually gluing them together. It takes time, but it's worth it. I use coloured pencils to do so, because I tried felt tip pencils/markers and they heavily bleed and never match the actual piece colour. Bleargh!
Also, I don't usually bother edge-colouring the light-coloured parts, like the yellow ones, since the white isn't that noticeable on those parts!

Btw, how do you get your lines to be so clean? I have tried numerous way to change my xacto cutting skills, watched countless videos, and read articles (loll) and I can't seem to get my models to look like that! Theres alway that slight white spacing left. :'[ I score, emboss and everything but I can't get it to have the same appeal as your models have. Please lend me your secret. :] In exchange, here is a smiley, loll. ^__^
